Your information
Privacy policy
Last updated: 29 September 2026
You can ask about moving to Spain, renewing your residence or preparing your residence card without uploading a personal dossier. This policy covers this website and its initial enquiry service.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Juan Antonio Bertomeu Valles, NIF 28988016N, trading as Expat Abogados and operating Easy Visas Spain. Address: Calle del Doctor Calatayud, 39, planta baja, 03724 Moraira, Alicante, Spain. For privacy questions or rights requests, contact legal@expatabogados.com.
What we receive
When you submit the enquiry form, we receive your name, email address, optional telephone number, the service you select, your message, and any country of residence or citizenship you choose to give us. We also record your enquiry reference, submission time and acknowledgement of this policy. This form does not subscribe you to marketing messages.
Please give a short description of what you need. The form does not accept document uploads or payment details. Do not paste passport numbers, financial records, medical information or another person's documents into the message. If we need evidence to assess or handle your case, the team will explain what to provide and how.
When you press send, the browser temporarily keeps that enquiry in the current tab so a lost connection can be checked or retried without creating a new request. It contains the details you submitted and your enquiry reference. It is removed after confirmed receipt or a confirmed rejection; an attempt older than 24 hours is discarded when the form next checks it. Closing the browser session or clearing its site data also removes it, subject to your browser's session-restore behaviour.
Our hosting provider processes technical connection information, such as your IP address and browser information, to deliver and protect the website. Optional campaign attribution and advertising information are described in the cookie policy. The enquiry form may include permitted campaign and referral information so we can understand how you found us.
Why we use it
- To respond and assess the work you request. We use your enquiry to contact you, understand the appropriate service and prepare a proposal. The basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
- To operate and protect the service. Technical security checks and necessary handling records support our legitimate interests in preventing abuse, maintaining the service and keeping an accurate record of communications, under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- To meet legal obligations. We retain or disclose information where required by applicable law, under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.
- For optional advertising and tracking. These use your consent, under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, through cookie preferences. You can decline without affecting our response to your enquiry.
Name, email, the short message and the required form choices let us process an online enquiry; optional fields can be left blank. You can also contact the firm directly. A person reviews the enquiry. The form does not make an automated decision about your legal eligibility, grant a visa or appoint the firm to represent you.
Who handles the information
Authorised members of Expat Abogados handle your enquiry. We use Vercel to host the website, Supabase to store enquiry records and Resend for internal email notifications to the firm. Our business email is handled through Google Workspace. These providers process the information needed for their respective services. The internal notification can include your contact details and message so the team can respond.
We do not sell enquiry data. Advertising providers only receive the information associated with the optional tools you permit, as explained in the cookie policy. Authorities or professional advisers may receive information where necessary to meet legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Some providers operate internationally, so processing or access may take place outside the European Economic Area. Where this involves a restricted transfer, applicable safeguards are required, such as a recognised adequacy decision or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. You may contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data. We do not represent that every part of processing takes place exclusively in the EU.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry while responding to it, following up on your request and deciding with you whether an engagement will proceed. We then delete or restrict information that is no longer needed, retaining only what is necessary for applicable legal obligations and the establishment, exercise or defence of claims for the relevant limitation periods. If you become a client, the engagement and the information needed for that work are handled as a professional file with the applicable retention requirements.
We retain evidence of cookie preferences only as necessary to manage and demonstrate those choices and comply with applicable obligations. Browser-storage duration is explained in the cookie policy.
Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, and object to processing where applicable. You can withdraw consent without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal. For browser tracking, use Cookie settings in the footer.
Send requests to legal@expatabogados.com. Tell us what you would like us to do; we will ask for additional identification only if needed to verify the request. We normally respond within one month, subject to the extensions and exceptions permitted by law. You may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Authority (AEPD) or your competent supervisory authority.
Contacting us through another service
If you choose an email, telephone or WhatsApp link, that communication also involves the provider of the service you choose. Its own privacy terms apply to its operation. This policy may be updated when the website or the way we handle information changes; the date above identifies this version.
